Project Overview:

BitPocket was our team’s first website development project, designed to enhance the learning experience for CSC freshmen students at Wayne State University. The requirement was to create a functional website where students could redeem rewards like 5 points of extra credit, participate in AWS Club Quests, or enter tournaments.

Key Features:

Bits as Currency: Students earned “Bits,” a fictional credit, by completing their homework and labs. These Bits could then be used to buy various rewards on the platform.

Reward System: The site featured a range of rewards, including extra credit points and opportunities to engage in exclusive events.

Seamless User Experience: The platform was designed with a user-friendly interface, ensuring that students could easily track and redeem their earned Bits.

Development Journey:

Our team, Inksway, utilized a combination of WordPress and custom HTML/CSS coding to bring BitPocket to life. We hosted the website using a cloud service, ensuring reliability and accessibility for students. The user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) were carefully designed to be intuitive and engaging, receiving positive feedback from users. Graders found it easy to assign Bits to students, and the backend system was straightforward to navigate, enhancing the overall efficiency of the platform.
